FENIX is looking to hire a Barcelona-based IT Support Intern. The applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask/prioritize work, and, at times, the ability to work independently. In addition, the applicant must be highly self-motivated, have a positive attitude, be resourceful, and enthusiastic about customer service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software
- Walk employees through the recommended problem-solving step
- Set up or repair computer equipment and related device
- Assist the ITS Team in training users to work with new computer hardware or software
- Document changes, revisions, and problems
- Evaluate and optimize network infrastructure
- Document network support activities
- Ad-hoc project assignments by the ITS Manager
QUALIFICATION
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English – REQUIRED (level C2 or better)
- EU citizenship or ability to legally live/work in Spain without the need for sponsorship -REQUIRED
- Candidates pursuing a computer engineering, information technology, or computer science degree – REQUIRED
- Close attention to detail and quality in all aspects of job performance – REQUIRED
- Ability to intern for 6-12 months – REQUIRED
- Experience in IT infrastructure, support, networking, backup appliances – PREFERRED
- Knowledge of MacOS, Azure, JumpCloud, SharePoint, and MDM solution – PREFERRED
- Demonstrated ability to work independently (good work ethic, maturity, and personal initiative), as well as the ability to work as a member of the ITS Team
- Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing project and user needs
