We are seeking an ambitious bachelor’s or master’s student (m/f), to support our manufacturing & engineering team at our location in Tarragona, Spain.
The goal of the internship is to work with the team in analyzing process safety scenarios after target factor evaluations and review layers of protection. The student will combine this analytic effort with 3 practical field risk analysis for repetitive and frequent activities in the plant, seeking for simple and innovative risk reduction actions.
Should be self-motivated, thrive on responsibility and demonstrate high levels of initiative and flexibility. Comfortable working in small teams and ready to learn from the practices of others, you should also have a willingness to continuously develop your knowledge and skills.
Responsibilities
- Process Safety Analysis – Support the team in evaluating process safety scenarios, including target factor assessments and review of Layers of Protection.
- Risk Analysis – Participate in risk assessments for manufacturing processes and operational activities to identify potential safety improvements.
- Risk Reduction Initiatives – Identify and propose simple, practical, and innovative actions to reduce operational and process safety risks
- Process Optimization – Contribute to process optimization efforts aimed at improving safety, reliability, and efficiency in manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental engineering, chemical engineering, manufacturing engineering or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of English (C1). Spanish/ Catalan language proficiency is considered a plus.
- You can start between July and September 2026 for a period of six to nine months (exact timing to be discussed).
